The short version
Watch Peak Party helps two people watch supported streaming-service videos together with synced playback, friend invites, chat, microphone, and camera. You still need your own browser, your own internet connection, and your own access to the streaming services you use. Do not use Watch Peak Party to pirate content, attack the service, harass anyone, or break another service's rules.
This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Rana Aazan Mujahid, trading as Watch Peak Party ("Watch Peak Party", "we", "us") covering your use of the Watch Peak Party website, Chrome extension, APIs, party rooms, account features, friends, invitations, chat, microphone, and camera features (together, the "Service").
By installing the extension, creating an account, joining a party, or using the website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Watch Peak Party, and old enough in your country to enter into a binding agreement. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
What Watch Peak Party is - and is not
Watch Peak Party is a browser extension that adds a private watch-party layer to supported streaming websites. It can create a room, generate an invite link, sync play/pause/seek/rate changes, follow supported video changes, show participants, send party chat, and optionally connect microphone or camera through WebRTC.
Watch Peak Party is not a streaming service, content provider, video host, broadcaster, recorder, VPN, account-sharing tool, or way to bypass paywalls, geographic restrictions, DRM, ads, subscription requirements, or a streaming service's own terms.
Accounts
- You may use copied party links without a social account, but friends, direct invitations, push notifications, and voice/video entitlement checks require Google sign-in.
- Give accurate account information and keep your email address current.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure.
- Tell us promptly at help@watchpeakparty.fun if you believe your account or extension session has been misused.
- Do not sell, transfer, or share your Watch Peak Party account in a way that misleads us or another user.
Streaming services and third-party content
Watch Peak Party works on supported websites such as YouTube, Netflix, Crunchyroll, Prime Video, JioHotstar, Max/HBO Max, Hulu, and Disney+. Those services are owned by third parties and have their own terms, privacy policies, subscriptions, content rules, regional restrictions, and technical limits.
You are responsible for having lawful access to whatever you watch. Each viewer generally needs their own access to the selected streaming service. Watch Peak Party does not grant content rights and does not promise that a third-party service will keep working with the extension.
Watch Peak Party is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube, Google, Netflix, Crunchyroll, Amazon, JioHotstar, Max, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+, or their owners.
Your data
You keep rights to the messages, display names, profile information, and party choices you provide. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the Service: storing account and social data, transmitting party events, delivering notifications, relaying WebRTC connection setup, preventing abuse, backing up systems, and providing support.
We do not sell your data, and we do not record your streaming video, microphone, or camera. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Watch Peak Party for unlawful activity, copyright infringement, piracy, harassment, abuse, or stalking;
- try to bypass any streaming service's subscription, DRM, regional availability, account, or access controls;
- record, rebroadcast, or redistribute protected content unless you have the legal right to do so;
- send threats, hate, spam, malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights through chat, display names, friend requests, or invitations;
- attempt to access another user's account, room, invite, notification token, friend data, or private party;
- probe, scan, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or attack the Service except where law expressly permits and you respect other users' privacy;
- circumvent rate limits, entitlement checks, push-notification controls, room expiry, or security mechanisms;
- misrepresent an affiliation with Watch Peak Party or any supported streaming service.
Security researchers are welcome. Please report vulnerabilities to help@watchpeakparty.fun before public disclosure and avoid accessing other users' data or degrading the Service.
Plans, billing, and refunds
Watch Peak Party is free during launch, including unlimited voice and video chat while the launch promotion is active. We do not collect payment details on this website or in the extension today. We may introduce paid plans and usage limits in future.
If paid plans launch, prices and features will be shown before you subscribe. We will not hold your existing account data hostage to force an upgrade. Free tiers, usage allowances, premium features, renewal terms, cancellation rules, and refund rules will be shown at the point of purchase and may also depend on the payment provider used.
We will give at least 30 days' notice before a material price increase affecting an existing paid subscription, unless a payment platform's rules require a different process.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Watch Peak Party available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Parties may fail because of browser changes, extension bugs, network problems, Cloudflare/Firebase issues, streaming-service changes, device permissions, DRM behaviour, account restrictions, or unsupported videos.
We may change, add, pause, or remove features as the product develops. If we remove a major account feature or discontinue the Service, we will try to give reasonable notice and a way to retrieve account data where practical.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using the Service at any time by signing out, uninstalling the extension, clearing extension data, or asking us to delete account data tied to your Watch Peak Party account.
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, create risk for users or the Service, use the product unlawfully, or if we are required to do so by law. Where lawful and safe, we will tell you why.
Our intellectual property
The Watch Peak Party name, logo, website, extension code, UI, text, graphics, and related materials belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or use them in a way that suggests we endorse you.
If you send feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without owing you compensation. This does not give us ownership of your personal data.
Warranties
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, content access, subscriptions, or enjoyment, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 100.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and the courts of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also have rights under mandatory consumer laws in your own country.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact help@watchpeakparty.fun. Most problems are faster to fix than to litigate.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes affecting your rights, data, or payments, we will give reasonable notice by email, in the product, or on the website. Continuing to use the Service after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
